Local SEO Services That Dominate The Map Pack

Local SEO Services That Dominate The Map Pack2026-09-05T03:58:35+00:00

Local SEO services that put you in the map pack, not on page two

Most local SEO is a checklist someone runs once and forgets. Ours is a system: the profile, the citations, the reviews and the pages all pulling in the same direction, measured by the calls they produce.

We are a Las Vegas SEO company running local campaigns across the country. Local search is its own ranking system. Relevance, distance and prominence decide the map pack, and none of them care how good your homepage looks. Every engagement opens with a local SEO audit.

Six moving parts, one local SEO system

Every local campaign pulls from all six. Where we start depends on what your audit says is costing you calls.

Google Business Profile Optimization

Your profile is the listing Google actually ranks in the map pack. We fill out every field that matters, pick the right primary and secondary categories, load real photos and products, and post consistently so the profile looks alive.

  • Categories, services and attributes
  • Photos, posts and products
  • Spam listing removal

Citations And NAP Consistency

Google cross checks your name, address and phone across the web. Every mismatch and duplicate weakens the signal. We clean the data aggregators first, then the directories that actually matter for your industry.

  • Data aggregator submissions
  • Duplicate listing cleanup
  • Industry and local directories

Reviews And Reputation

Review count, velocity and recency all feed local rankings, and they decide who gets the call once you rank. We set up the ask, make leaving one effortless, and respond to every review in your voice.

  • Review request automation
  • Response strategy and templates
  • Steady velocity, no suspicious bursts

Service Area Pages

One page for each city you actually serve, with real content about that market. Not a template with the city name swapped in. Google has been demoting those for years, and customers can tell too.

  • One page per market you serve
  • Local proof, projects and photos
  • Internal links from the service hub

Local Content And On Page Signals

The pages on your own site tell Google what you do and where you do it. We handle local keyword mapping, title tags, LocalBusiness schema, embedded maps and the NAP markup that ties your site to your listing.

  • Local keyword mapping
  • LocalBusiness and Service schema
  • Titles, headings and NAP markup

Map Rank Tracking And Reporting

Local rankings change block by block, so one position number is meaningless. We track a grid across your service area, watch how far your visibility actually reaches, and report the calls and direction requests it produced.

  • Grid based map rank tracking
  • Calls, clicks and direction requests
  • Monthly report in plain language

What local SEO actually involves, and why the map pack is its own game

Local search runs on a second ranking system layered on top of organic. Here is what that means in practice.

Google map pack results with a map and three local business listings

How the map pack actually ranks

Google scores local results on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is how well your profile and your site match the search. Distance is where the searcher happens to be standing, which you cannot control. Prominence is everything else, reviews, citations, links and how well known you are. Two of the three are yours to work on, and that is where a local campaign is won.

Google Business Profile optimization

Your profile is the product page for your business inside Google, and most of them are half filled. We set the primary category deliberately, because it carries more weight than any other single field, then add secondary categories, services, products, attributes, hours and real photos. Then we keep posting, because a profile nobody has touched in a year looks abandoned to Google and to customers.

Citations, NAP and the aggregators

A citation is any mention of your name, address and phone number. Google uses them to confirm you are real and consistent. Most businesses have a trail of old suite numbers, disconnected lines and duplicate listings behind them. We start at the data aggregators that feed the smaller directories, clear the duplicates, then work the sites that carry weight in your industry.

Reviews that actually move rankings

Volume matters, but so do recency, velocity and whether anyone replies. Forty reviews from three years ago is worse than twelve from this quarter. We build the ask into a process you already run, make leaving one a single tap for the customer, and answer every review, because responses are both a ranking signal and a sales page for the next person reading them.

Service area pages that are not templates

If you serve twelve cities you need twelve pages worth reading. The same paragraph with the city name swapped is a doorway page, and Google has been filtering those for years. We build each page around what actually happens in that market: the jobs you run there, the photos from them, the neighborhoods you cover and the questions people in that city ask before they call.

Local reporting tied to calls

A single map position is meaningless, because local rankings change block by block. We track a grid across your service area so you can see the actual shape of your visibility, then tie it to what the profile produced: calls, direction requests, website clicks and form fills. Rankings are the leading indicator. Calls are the point.

Frequently asked questions about local SEO

The things people ask on the first call, answered before you make it.

Local SEO is the work that gets your business into the map pack and the local results Google shows when someone searches with intent to visit or call nearby. It runs on its own ranking system. Your Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and proximity all count, alongside the normal organic signals coming from your website.
Regular SEO competes for the ten blue links. Local SEO competes for the three listings in the map pack sitting above them, and that box is scored differently. Relevance, distance and prominence decide it, and your Google Business Profile carries more weight there than your homepage does. Most businesses need both, working together.
Profile and citation fixes can move the map pack inside 30 to 90 days, which is faster than organic SEO usually moves. Reviews and service area content compound over three to six months. If a competitor has a ten year head start on reviews and links, expect it to take longer, and be suspicious of anyone who promises otherwise.
It depends on how many locations and service areas you have, how bad the citation situation is, and how competitive your market is. A single location business is a very different scope from twelve service areas. We quote after the audit, we work month to month, and there is no setup fee.
A citation is any mention of your business name, address and phone number on another website: directories, industry sites, chambers of commerce, data aggregators. Google uses them to confirm your details are consistent and that you are a real business. Old addresses, disconnected numbers and duplicate listings all work against you, which is why cleanup usually comes first.
A complete and actively maintained Google Business Profile, the right primary category, consistent citations, a steady flow of recent reviews with replies, and a website with local content and schema that backs all of it up. Proximity to the searcher matters too, which is why you rank in some parts of your city and not others.
Yes, and in more ways than people expect. Total count, how recent they are, how steadily they arrive, the words customers use, and whether you reply all feed into it. Reviews are also the single biggest factor in whether someone calls you instead of the listing above you, so they pay twice.
Yes. Multi location work is its own discipline: a separate profile for each location, a real page for each location on your site, location specific reviews, and internal linking that keeps Google from confusing them. We track every location separately so you can see which markets are working and which need attention.
We are based here, so yes. Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, North Las Vegas and the rest of the valley are home turf. We also run local campaigns for clients across the country, which means we see what is working in dozens of markets instead of just this one.
